JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono flew back to Hanoi for an Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit Friday after leaving Vietnam to visit victims of a devastating tsunami off Indonesia’s Sumatra island.
Yudhoyono returned to the summit a day after visiting the Mentawai islands, where around 400 people were killed when an undersea earthquake triggered a tsunami on Monday.
“There are several agendas there that the head of the country will follow,“ presidential spokesman Teuku Faizasyah was quoted as saying by the state news agency Antara.
